NEON NAILS
Looking for a little bit of innocent fun? As we near the end of July, you have a few more weeks to make sure you've participated in one of the most fun summer trends - NEON NAILS! They are everywhere this summer! Manicures and pedicures in bright colors are a great way to express your fun side. Plus, they are inexpensive and temporary.
Take a cue from The City's reigning beauty queen, Erin Lucas. She turned up at last week's NYC fete for Hugo Boss's recently revamped BOSS Orange collection sporting a very appropriate shade of nail polish for the event--yes, neon orange. The line is all about an edgy, sexy sense of downtown cool, and so is Miss Lucas's look.
You might not have noticed her day-glo mani and pedi if she'd been wearing a floral dress or a busy combination of patterns and colors (or worse, you may have noticed them in a "please-stop-hurting-my-eyes-with-your-insane-clashing" way), but against the backdrop of a simple black dress, they totally pop. She also keeps the rest of her accessories both minimal and neutral, to help draw your attention to that totally wow tone. The simple LBD really works here, but you can try the same idea out with a plain white T-shirt and jeans or with a little white dress.
Go for Orange, Purple, Pink, Yellow OR even Blue!
